Fresh Mountian Air
As I had mentioned (here) I recently went up north for a weekend away. The much needed getaway came on the heels of quite the stressful week at work, so you can believe me when I say I needed the fresh mountain air! As always my attempts to unplug were constantly challenged by the picturesque mountain range and over all grandness of the area.
Luckily, the WIFI was pretty sparse, so only a few stragglers made it up.

We had been planning to visit a local brewery in the area, and I'm so glad we did! The place is neatly tucked away between windy dirt road off the highway (which at first resembles a narrow drive way). Around a few bends is a modern and quite small brew house, perfectly situated at the top of a grassy expansive lawn. We decided to give the local IPA's a try and settled on the sampler before playing a few games of corn hole.
I would highly recommend this place, the staff and knowledgeable and very friendly (puppies too!) Pack a lunch and take advantage of the picnic tables and adirondack chairs on the patio.
After a quick freshen up we headed north to Sardine Lake. My parents had been ranting and raving about this place for months, and I have to say, the location was absolutely beautiful! As if the happy hour on the lake doesn't get you the delicious dinner definitely will!
We kept Sunday pretty casual, and headed home after catching some much needed rest. All-in-all a wonderful weekend away!
Congratulations to Mary S, the winner of the Redken Giveaway :)
