Napa in November

If sipping vino in the middle of a vineyard on a warm November day sounds like a good time to you, then I suggest you head up to Napa ASAP. This week I took a drive up to wine country with my folks to indulge in a little tasting and an afternoon picnic. The Napa Valley is relatively close, around an hours drive from where I currently live, making it quite incredibly accessible.

We drove up in the early morning to head to Dean & Deluca to pick up a few goodies for our picnic. That store...I could die a happy girl inside there! Not only do they have an enormous amount of cheeses, chocolates, and baked goods, but the places is something of a foodies dream!

If your ever in the area I would highly suggesting stopping in.. if you do check out their homemade cookies. After a brief traffic jam we were well on our way to Rutherford Hill.( I last posted here, about visiting.) The view is absolutely breathtaking and showcases much of the valley below. If you follow me on Instagram you'll know I tempted you with a peek at our spread!

When it came to picking something to wear, I kept is reaaal casual (hence the post). I pretty much live in jeans/boots in the fall, so the combination was a no brainer. I opted for a light-wash denim, these are the pencil ankle cut from J.Crew. I layered a gingham and mustard cardigan just in case it got chilly. I've been playing around with a few braided hair styles lately, and threw together this wrap-around style to keep my flew aways at bay.

xoxo,
