Paint it Black

Excuse me while I have a major midi-skirt moment...

I've found myself in a bit of a fashion-slump. Yes, there is such a thing, and it's incredibly uninspiring. These past few week I've been wearing my denim and tee uniform into the ground. Now, there's absolutely nothing wrong with a simple tee and jeans. But, for someone who writes about fashion on the daily it's embarrassing (insert blush face).

I decided to dig deep, put down the denim, and trade my daily get-up for something a bit more my style, enter the midi. I love skirts whether they be a-line, maxi, or mini, they always seem to bring a fresh feminine vibe to a look.

This button-down cotton style was exactly what I needed to get me out of my jean-funk. The light cotton fabric is loose and has plenty of movement. I kept the look modern and paired it with a boxy sheer-sleeved blouse by Shilla. A ornate pair of tassel earrings from House of Harlow and a cool-green Brixton hat were all I needed to complete the look.

Do you get in fashion-funks? And if so how do you inspire yourself to get out of your rut?

xoxo,

Biride
