Matte About You
When you work 9-5 and manage a blog things tend to get pretty hectic. Monday through Friday I have little if any time to spare, especially when it comes to my beauty routine. I always make a conscious effort to use products that will take me from night to day and won't show the dreaded signs of extended wear. If you’re a long time follower you'll know that it's a constant battle for me to find products that will adhere to my oily skin and won't leave me dried out.
Several months ago whilst taking an unplanned trip down the beauty aisle I came across L’Oreal’s Infallible Pro-Matte foundation. Intrigued by the promising name and sleek packaging I decided to give it a go. Well, nearly 4 months later, their promise has not been broken! I've transitioned between shades, tested different applications, and always seem to achieve the same lasting matte results.
One of the first things that struck me was the consistency. The formula isn't thick like other matte foundations, in fact it's quite fluid. I tend to stick with a sponge blender application, and the coverage is full without looking caked or dry. Normally, I will follow up with a light dusting of pressed powder, but if I'm in a hurry I know I can do without it. One thing in L’Oreal’s Infallible collection I know I can't live without is the Makeup Extender Setting Spray. Much like other high priced formulas this product delivers a soft mist application and really brings out a subtle glow in your skin. The difference? The price tag and the long results.
People close to me have even complimented me on how flawless and clean my complexion looks. Like most women a compliment about one's skin is always graciously accepted. Aside from switching foundations my skin care regime has stayed consistent, so I know that L'Oreal products are actually making a difference.
Have you tried any of the L'Oreal Infallible collection? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
