Happy Friday If you're anything like me your checking the calendar and clueless as to where the past month has gone! I suppose I could put that outlook on every month / year but, April in particular seemed to fly by at lightening speed. During the month when I'm super busy with work, trips, and what not I always rely on a few go-to outfits to get me through the week. In general these tend to be dresses or jeans/blouse combos.
This little number in particular was a recent score from Forever21, and was less than $20! I go through through phases shopping at F21, and my last shopping excursion resulted in some pretty great finds. Most pieces I found, including this drop-waist dress is from their Collective collection. I'm pretty sure it's aimed at a more "mature" audience and caters to this crowd with nicer fabrics, long(er) hemlines and more moderate prints and styles.
Anyways, I was really impressed by what I came across, so much so that I will be sharing a post all about the line next week! I've been loving ankle boots paired with spring dresses, the style is pretty much my go-to during the week. On another note can we talk about how gorgeous these ankle boots are? Anyone who knows me knows that I live in boots. I've been know to wear an assortment of styles from over the knee to moto style but my true favorite is the ankle boot. A timeless style that is such a universally chic pair of shoes. Ive always thought of boots as investment pieces especially if they're everyday footwear.
It's crucial to have both quality and structure this is even more true if your like me and rely on these qualities to get you though a long work day! I was recently contacted by DUO, A London based custom footwear designer with an eye for serious craftsmanship. Aside from the selection of on-trend boots, they really pride themselves in the fit, which includes a wide array of widths, half sizes and lengths. I was able to browse their site and try a pair for myself, and I could be more excited with the pair I was gifted!
