Easy Avocado Toast

There really isn't any food I love more than avocados, I could eat them with literally everything! It's a weird food fixation for me considering just a few years ago I would barely even touch the stuff. As any avo lover knows there is one meal that is the pièce de résistance where it truly shines. Enter the avocado toast, beautiful images liter Instagram accounts from bloggers across the globe. Gwyneth Paltrow gave new life to the simple breakfast, and ever since I've been hooked. I've tried several variations in the past but, always seem to come back to my tried and true method, which is as easy and simple as it gets.

Ingredients

  • Avocado

  • Sourdough Bread

  • Salt + Pepper

  • Sriracha

Directions

It all starts with a good base, the bread. I prefer a soft and flavorful sourdough, and if your from the Bay Area choose the good stuff! Next give that bread a nice golden tan. I prefer a strong crunch but, not roof bread so keep it light-golden. Next cut your avocado in half, then in vertical slices. Slide your knife around the edges and pop out the cut slices. Layer the pieces down the center of the toast (I use 1 half per toast). Next, give a pinch of salt and pepper- but don't overdo it. The final step? Siracha! Drizzle to your hearts content, by either adding a few drops or crossing back and forth.

Enjoy!
