SF Staycation, The Clift Hotel

One of the best things about living in a vibrant place like San Francisco is the endless amount of places to eat, shop, and stay within the city limits. As if the hundreds of thousands of instagram's hashtagged #sf or #sanfrancisco wasn't enough to entice your eyes to book a flight maybe this upcoming post will. Over the next few months I will be sharing my favorite places around San Francisco for tourist and residents alike. When I started thinking about where I wanted to stay for my first post, The Clift instantly came to mind.

Aside from its obvious ambiance of being one of the coolest places in the city, my own stay really solidified the deal. The hotel is located downtown near union square which makes it a great central hub for incredible food and shopping. Upon entering you're quickly greeted by one of the most popular chairs in the city, which also happens to make you feel like your a pawn in Alice and wonderland. The interior is dark moody, but incredibly inviting at the same time. During our stay we booked a suite, which I assumed would be what most other hotels classified as a, "king bed, modest bathroom, and maybe a seating area" but, boy was I mistaken.

On our way up to the suite, which is easily larger than my own home, lush lavender hued walls and mirrored furniture adorned the hallways. The suite was absolutely gorgeous, and a visual delight in itself. With a mix of modern and traditional furniture the space was an absolutely joy to be in. The space was comprised of three rooms, yes three, with huge windows and a view that would make anyone jealous. The staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was the best it could be and was constantly saying a friendly hello as we passed through the hotel. Even being there less than 24hrs had me dreading leaving, which only means one thing, I'll be back very soon!
