Beachside Essentials

It’s no secret that Summer is my favorite season. With the big 27’ less than a week away I find myself less concerned with wild birthday plans and more prepared for a relaxing beach weekend. I’m lucky enough to live just up the street from a beach here in San Francisco, which means Kev and I are there quite frequently. In all honesty I could plop down with a good book and lay there for hours. It wasn’t until recently that I decided to step up our beach game and put together an essential kit.

Any avid beach goer knows that good tunes are a must, especially when booze are involved. To prevent any lost or damaged phones we picked up the coolest little (yet loud) portable speaker. I was initially attracted to the cute exterior, and was pretty surprised with how good the sounds quality was. This retro speaker connects to your phone or MP3 through an auxiliary cord housed inside the speaker, keeping everything sand and water free! On the weekends we tend to pack a cooler of drinks or uncork a bottle of wine. To chill drinks properly and in style we’ve add a few pineapple tumblers to our beach kit. I had been eyeing this brass tumbler for awhile and loved the story behind the creators.

One thing both items had in common was that they are all either handmade, recycled and organic products. Uncommon Goods prides themselves in knowing the details behind every product they sell, and as an organization were created to help customers understand the social and environmental impact of their purchases, which leaves the seller and buyer happy and content. This isn’t my first purchase from Uncommon Goods and definitely isn’t the last!

Thanks to Uncommon Goods for making my birthday weekend and future beach trips a success!

xoxo,

Birdie
