4 Colors to Wear This Fall

The signs of fall are officially starting to show in the Bay Area. Even with warmer afternoons, the morning and evenings are in stark comparison. With any new season comes a brand new array of hues to inspire your wardrobe, and this autumn is certainly no exception. As someone who naturally gravitates towards colors of the darker variety I'm ready to infuse some color into what I wear this fall. Keep reading to find out that colors are sure to be standouts this season.

Mustard: My personal favorite color of the season, this shade is far from just a hot dog condiment! This deep yellow shade is highly influenced from 70s inspired fashion. I love the idea of styling a sweater, cardigan, or coat in this color with a graphic skirt or pair of high-waisted denim.

Oxblood: Burgundy has been a color we associated with fall for as long as I can remember, but the darker variety, also known as oxblood has recently come into play over the past decade. For some reason, I always associate the truest form of this color to be seen in beauty, Lincoln Park After Dark? If you're not an OPI fan then the comparison may escape you. The deep, almost purple shade is most popular when seen in sock booties and leather outerwear.

Camel: This is one shade that made a smooth transition from summer into fall. The tan, almost nude shade has been popular in footwear and outerwear for years. Aside from classics like the peacoat or trench, resurrected textures like shearling and patched leathers will be making a strong showing this season. As far as footwear goes, chunky ankle boots are a great way to bring this color into your wardrobe.

Emerald: Bolder jewel tone shades are always a great way to dress up a look. Silky textures, and streamlined pieces in the forms of suits will bring a balance for an inspired look. If you're someone who's not afraid to play with color check out retailers like Zara or Mango for affordable on trend suiting and longer coats.
