After a stressful work week, the last thing you want to do is plan a date night out on the town! Some of the best date nights are those that are put together to be relaxing, fun, and completely possible to enjoy in sweats and your favorite band tee. Even before getting married a few years ago, Kevin and I always planned date nights at home. From ordering our favorite take-out to planning a movie night complete with all of our favorite snacks. Planning the perfect date night in can be the perfect solution after a busy work week!

1. Cook Something Outside of your Comfort Zone

Don’t let the pages of a new cookbook scare you! Cooking can be as easy as following directions! So why not venture outside of your comfort zone to cook something new? I don’t know about you, but I am always pinning or ear-marking dinner recipes that I want to try. You don’t need to host a 6-course dinner, but you could try a new cultural cuisine. Keep things fun and enlist the help of your date or significant other, cooking together can be fun and when it turns out to be delicious, you’ll both be able to enjoy the benefits.

2. Que up a Classic Movie

With so many movie streaming networks available from your phone it’s never been easier to find your favorite classic movie and create a movie viewing experience that's just as unique. As kids, one of the best things about watching a movie with a friend was creating a cozy place to watch it from! Even if your fort building skills are a little rusty this indoor oasis couldn’t be easier to put together. Simply toss a variety of throw pillows down on a cozy blanket or cue up a classic movie and prepare your favorite movie snacks. Diet Coke® Strawberry Guava is the perfect addition to keep your viewing experience exciting and full of flavor.

3. Break out The Board Games

Who doesn’t love a bit of healthy competition? For evenings when you are leaning towards staying in, break out your favorite board or card games and let the evening begin! Games such as Jenga, Dice, Catan, and classic card games will keep things fun for hours on end.

4. Plan a Trip Together

Who says you can’t make a date night out of planning an adventure? If you and your significant other are itching to get away, hello Spring Break? Then why not dedicate an evening to sorting out the details? Accompany your evening of planning with your go-to take out and one of Diet Coke®’s newly added flavors. I personally love the subtlety sweet taste of Diet Coke® Strawberry Guava! The flavor profile is the perfect fruity addition to the classic Diet Coke® flavor. Their team traveled the country in search of the perfect flavor combinations, and now you too are in search of the perfect destination. These are available in packs or on-the-go singles, perfect for experiencing both NEW flavors.

Map out your next adventure by sharing location ideas, scheduling transportation, and restaurants you want to try!

5. Tackle a Project Together

I know what you’re probably thinking, “why would we want to work on our night off?" Just the thought of getting off a 9-5, to come home and work again seems like the last thing you’d want to do. But, who’s to say you can’t have fun with it? We all seem to have mini house related projects that come up from time-to-time, so why not rope in your date and make an evening of it? Call it a paint-date-night and have all the essentials ready to go. Create a playlist ahead of time, stock the fridge with Diet Coke® Strawberry Guava and order in your favorite pizza.

The benefit to this is that you’ll be able to spend time together and also mark off your to-do list!

Plan your next date night in with Diet Coke® Strawberry Guava or Diet Coke® Blueberry Acai! Each flavor can be found and purchased at Kroger in the soda aisle! This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and The Coca-Cola Company. All opinions are mine alone.
