Perfecting Your Weekday Routine: 5 Ways to Make the Most out of a Busy Morning with Del Monte®

This post has been sponsored by Del Monte®. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Picture this: it’s Monday morning, your alarm is buzzing like crazy, and you’ve just realized that you’ve overslept. It’s a reality that many of us women face more than we’d like to admit. But just because it’s happened a time or two doesn’t mean that it needs to be part of your routine. There’s more than one way to get back on track and take ownership of your mornings. In this post, I’ll be sharing simple ways that you can not only streamline your routine but also help make your weekdays productive and efficient!

Set a Sleep Schedule

Yes, your mornings do depend on how well you sleep the night before! If you find yourself hitting the light after 12 AM each night, then it’s time to adjust your sleep schedule. I’ve found that by creating a set sleep time each night, I’m much more likely to adhere to waking up at an acceptable time (a.k.a not sleeping through an alarm). Eventually, your body will get used to this schedule and it’ll get easier to wake up.

Get Your To-do’s Checked Off

There’s nothing worse than a looming feeling of ‘things that need to be done’. Start your morning by checking off your to-do list in a productive and efficient manner. Letting things go with an attitude that “you’ll do them later” only prolongs and delays them. The way I make sure I start on my errands is to group them and mark them off according to what I plan on doing. For example, if I know I’ll be out of the house at the gym, I’ll be sure to do errands in the surrounding area. This way I’m only out of the house once versus making several trips (don’t you hate that?).

Eat a Healthy Breakfast and Actually Be Satisfied

Since weekday mornings are busy around our house, we typically don’t get a chance to sit down to enjoy a hearty breakfast. It goes without saying that your body needs fuel, especially when you’re just starting your day. While extravagant home cooked breakfasts are delicious, the time it takes would set your day back several hours. However, there is a way to actually enjoy a fulfilling breakfast while also eating fruit and 20g of whole grains per serving. Enter my next time-saver: Del Monte® Fruit & Oats™ - the first ready-to-eat oatmeal with a whole serving of fruit* and other adult fruit snacks.

Along with Fruit & Oats, Del Monte's Fruit & Chia™ and Fruit Refreshers® cups not only hit the spot, they pack a punch with delicious fruit & flavor pairings.. My personal favorites are the Apple Cinnamon and Red Grapefruit in Guava Flavored Fruit Water! Starting my day with Del Monte Fruit & Oats and Del Monte Fruit & Chia just makes me happy! You can make your mornings happier, too, with a little help from Del Monte. Don’t Forget to Move

It’s easy to get stuck, whether at your cubicle or at your work desk. Make sure you remember to move. Take a stroll around your office, or if you work from home, pop outside for a quick walk. Keeping your body moving will also help your brain stay active and alert.

Do you consider yourself a morning person? What are your tips for staying productive before noon?
