Between life with a newborn and gearing up to celebrate my first mother’s day, I almost forgot it was also our second anniversary! Luckily, Kevin had taken over plans to get out of town, now I just need to figure out what to wear. Being that I’m only a month postpartum I’m still adjusting to my new figure. I had a few piece I could have packed for the trip, but nothing that I felt 100% comfortable in. Being that I was in under a time crunch I really didn’t have the time or patience to head to the mall to shop, this is where Stitch Fix came into play.
If you’re unfamiliar with the company, Stitch Fix is a curated styling experience where a style expect puts together pieces based on your clothing and accessory needs and wants. Each box is tailored to fit you, which is a huge plus when it comes to trying on clothing at home. I can’t tell you how refreshing it was to receive clothes I was actually excited about that fit me like a glove! When I reached out to my stylist, I requested a few items that I could wear during my anniversary weekend. The first being a pair of high-rise white denim pants. I knew these could be a staple I could style from now till summer and would be perfect for a wine country getaway.
My second request was for a dress that could be worn to a casual dinner out, that still felt like a classic addition to my wardrobe. To say my stylist nailed it would be an understatement, not only did she select my favorite jeans, but she also managed to include items which all fit perfectly - no tailoring, tugging, or shape wear needed. As my life has continued to evolve so has my style, which makes having a service like Stitch Fix so helpful. I’m able to pick and choose when I’d like to receive style fixes and only have to pay for what I keep. The other great thing is that the longer I request fixes the more my personal stylist gets to know the items I like (so far, she’s done incredible!)
