Best of Beauty 2015 & Giveaway!
Each year brings a bounty of new beauty goodies, some making the repurchase list and others hitting the trash. As any good beauty blogger I've done my research all year long and have plenty of keepers that will be beauty bag favorites for years to come. I've rounded up a few high and low products that I've used until pan and repurchased.
Beauty Blender ($13): It's no secret that the OG beauty blender is where its at! I've tested several alternatives, but none seem to come close to the coverage that the beauty blender delivers. The shape is perfect for the entire face, including tight corners of the eyes and nose.
L'Oreal INFALLIBLE PRO-MATTE FOUNDATION ($11): This is hands down my favorite foundation of the year! At a low $11 price how could you not take the gamble and test it out? It lasts all day and delivers a gorgeous matte finish, which is great if you deal with oily skin like I do. The color range could be a bit larger but, overall I've been able to match my skin tone pretty well!
BOBBI BROWN Bronzing Powder ($40): This past year was one of little sun. Normally, my tan during the summer is deep and bronze, but living in San Francisco means a little less facetime with the rays. This shade is the perfect brown without looking orange, and the matte finish looks natural enough to create a daily contour.
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara ($23):The hype is real! Normally, I'm the type of girl who is die-hard for her drugstore mascaras, and although I still am, this is one mascara that is well worth the purchase. The brush is incredible creates a beautiful flutter effect on my lashes. I've grown so attached to this product I also bought into keeping a few travel sizes in my purse and at work.
Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette ($45): After hearing rave reviews on Youtube and also reading them on Sephora I gave in to purchasing this palette. Ever since locking down the purchase I've been using it every.single.day. On a normal day I wear neutral mattes on my eye, and rarely add a shimmer. So having a palette that has a gorgeous array of warm neutrals is a huge benefit.
Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade ($18): The most natural looking results, i.e. color selection is spot on! I've dabbled with a few different shades and ended up loving the medium brown shade. I've also grown super found of the eyebrow pencil, which delivers precise application.
BEAUTY FOR REAL, PERFECT LIP PENCIL ($14): The packaging says it all, this really is the only lip pencil you need..for a neural lip. I found out about this product through Glossybox, and aside from the spot-on packaging the product itself is really incredible. The shade is perfect for daily use, and the shade itself isn't too light or too tan, which makes for a great lined pout. My own gripe with this product is that the pencil doesn't sharpen.
L'OREAL COLOUR RICHE IN FRIEDA ($8.79): I can honestly say this is one of the best drugstore red lipsticks that I've found! The shade is a stunning true red and wears very well. The shade is true to what you seen with a velvety minimal shade texture.
ELF LIP EXFOLIATOR ($2.69): We all deal with chapped lips, and in the past I'd use a quick sugar scrub but, even though can be messy. This compact version creates smooth and plump lips with only a couple swipes. I apply this month a week, to keep my lips looking healthy and moisturized.
These products are many of my personal favorite tried and true products. In the spirit of the holidays I've decided let you in on the gifting as well.
