Bohemian Wave Hair Tutorial

One of the most frequently asked beauty questions I get asked is how I curl my hair. In reality this style couldn't be easier to achieve, and it's a total lifesaver during the work week! The overall look is very bohemian and natural, and takes less than 15 minutes from start to finish!

It's best to have a bit of texture in your hair, so second day hair is strongly encourage. If your locks are freshly washed, add a quarter size amount of mousse to the lower third of your hair, but not near the roots.Wait until mouse is absorbed and softly run fingers through hair to remove any tough pieces.

Now it's time to start with the curls. With a 1 inch curling iron section off a 1/2 inch piece of hair and curl the top portion of the hair, leaving a large majority of the hair outside of the iron. Hold for a few seconds, and drag iron straight down. This should somewhat straighten the lower portion of the hair.

When grabbing the next section of hair reverse the curling direction. For example, instead of curling away from the face (clockwise), curl towards the face (counterclockwise). Continue to alternate these curls, leaving the lower strands out of the iron. I think this style looks best when the curls hit at different lengths, so don't feel the need to make this exact!

Shake it out! Once all hair is curled, run your fingers through the curls. To make ends appear I bit more refined. Apply a touch of Moroccan oil to the ends of hair.
