Our Outdoor Patio Moodboard

We’re onto the next step of our outdoor space, our deck! You may have remembered that we started off our backyard in early spring and focused on the landscaping and plants. Now that much of the groundwork for that step has been finished, and we can move on to the fun part, the deck and outdoor furnishings! When we planned for our backyard project, we knew we wanted it to be an extension of our living space. An area that we could comfortably entertain, eat, and relax. After putting so much energy into our landscaping, I know this step will not only be exciting but will finally allow us to enjoy the fruits of our labor!

How to Achieve the Look

We really learned heavily about a consistent color palette. Typically, I would steer away from doing too much of the same color or print, but in this outdoor space, it just works! To make the most of the space, we have opted to divide it into two different areas: dining and lounging. We will be utilizing an Outdoor Sofa Set that will help define the lounging or conversation area. We’ll use accessories with outdoor side tables in natural tones or materials such as rattan or stone. We will continue the color palette of rich wood tones and true black and white in the striped rug and dining chairs in the adjacent dining area.

If you happened to be looking to style a larger space or continue this style on a pool deck, wood outdoor Chaise Lounges would be a great compliment. Keep styling accessories modern or natural and compliment with plenty of leafy or oversized plants. Ottomans are also a great way to accessories. Keep your eye out for storage ottomans that serve double-purpose and can store seasonal accessories. The addition to lighting will add to the overall ambiance. We’re opting for black bistro string lights and various sized lanterns.

Stay tuned for the reveal next week!

Cheers,

Kelly
