How to Create a Toddler Capsule Collection for Fall

Sometimes the easiest way to avoid fighting with a toddler to get dressed is to purchase items that go together. Hence, the introduction of the toddler capsule collection! So much of getting dressed in the morning is deciding what to wear. Between laundry days and smaller toddler-sized clothing getting misplaced, keeping their wardrobes easy to navigate is a huge bonus. Since children grow so quickly, it’s good to know which brands fit the best, which only lasts a short time. I’ve shared a post here about my go-to affordable children’s clothing brands if you’re interested!

Just like an adult capsule wardrobe, a child needs the basics to be utilized best. Think, basic wardrobe staples like a white and black tee-shirt (or onesie), solid outwear, leggings, and a go-to jacket. As I mentioned earlier, knowing your child’s fit is essential to streamline this process further. For instance, currently, Evie is wearing 18-24, 2T, and a size 5 in shoes. I know that Target’s Cat & Jack runs longer but will last two growth phases. In contrast, H&M runs TTS and lasts through one growth phase. I’m sure most parents know this through and through, so we’ll get to the fun part, the outfit planning below!
