Every now and then I come across a piece of clothing that fits like it's been perfectly tailored for me. When I started my first "real" job out of college I have turned to the Banana Republic for trousers and button-down staples. They have always carried a great selection of work-appropriate basics in styles that suit the modern woman. When looking for a day-to-night pant I look for three things, comfort, fit, and fabric type. The perfect combination of the three all come together in BR's Sloan trousers. The fit hugs the legs with a breathable fabric that contains a slight stretch that holds its shape throughout the day. 
 

The style is a mid-rise that hits right at the hips making it perfect for tucking in button downs of drapey blouses. This season I'm opting for the "tuxedo" style which features a dainty striped print and bold seam.
