D.I.Y Ruffled Tree Skirt
I couldn't help but be way too enthusiastic about creating a board on
Pinterest for holiday decorations. When I saw
this ruffled tree skirt I wasn't prepared to see "DIY" next to it. I thought to myself {Really?!?!} and I knew if the only thing involved was a glue gun then I
had to do it!
{My "mini" version of the ruffled tree skirt, I added fur around the top to hide the ugly plastic tree base. I also made my skirt to fit a half table that the tree sits on.}
It was somewhat of a spur the moment project and I didn't have my camera handy to take pictures along the way. However,
this blog has an excellent step-by-step guide that includes images. Since this was a last minute {DIY} I just used materials I had on hand.
{I actually enjoy the rough edges along the ruffles I think it gives it a vintage feeling}
The tree skirt I made is all left over fabric that I had about 1 1/2 yards, which was plenty for the template and ruffle strips! Since all the other tree's {yes there are several} already have tree skirts, I thought my mini purple tree could use an update.

Birdie
