With the holiday season quickly approaching, {hurray} there are many ways to go about gifting. Continue for recipe & packing.
Vanilla extract is an essential and must have for all bakers. Although, this particular DIY does take quite sometime to create {6 months} the results are well worth the wait.
What you will need:
- Vanilla Beans {Madagascar}
- Plain Vanilla Extract
- Bottles & Caps
- Labels
How to:
With a sharp paring knife cut each bean lengthwise, leaving about a 1/2 inch of space between the end of the bean {keeping them intact}.
Place 9-12 beans in a 750 ml. vodka bottle, you may need to pour out a little of the vodka so the beans will fit. Tightly seal and store in a dark cool place for up to 6 months.
Every once in awhile shake up the bottle. This particular recipe will last you for quite some time.
Once it's time to gift your vanilla work on assembling your labels. I used the 2" round glossy labels from
