Sonoma Harvest Music Festival

Have you ever been to a music festival and not had to dodge people in a massive crowd, stand in a mile-long line for food, or even struggled to get a good viewing spot of your favorite band? Yeah, me either, that is until we attended Sonoma’s Harvest Music Festival. Located on the beautiful property of B.R. Cohn Winery, the festival is something out of a music lover’s dreams. Plenty of grass and VIP viewing options, fabulous food by local famed restaurants, and of course none of the chaos that ensues at the typical music festival.

Kevin and I were lucky enough to attend the festival and experience it for ourselves and really can’t say enough good things about our time. We headed up to Sonoma to check out the Sunday line-up which included headliners The Head and the Heart. I ended up driving up since I can’t partake in the wine drinking anyways (more about that here), and let Kevin enjoy a bit of a Sunday-Funday. I can’t tell you how nice it is when festivals are organized and prepared for traffic. We ended up getting a parking spot right away and walked right up to the B.R. Cohn driveway, which also served as the entry location.

Everyone seemed to be in great spirits, and there was quite a large mix of attendants of all ages, including families with kids, and even a few babies. After getting the lay of the land (venue) we decided it only right to dive straight into some of the Napa Valley’s award-winning food vendors. Of course, the first thing that caught my pregnant eye was the Girl and the Fig serving up wood oven pizzas - on site! We also got a tasty side of Frito Pie from Thistle Meats, which was quickly devoured on our way to the viewing deck.

As I mentioned earlier we were graciously offered tickets to the festival and got to take in the show from the VIP viewing areas, which were incredible (and shaded!) The venue had set up two upper decks viewing spot and one lower, which was where we ended up setting up camp. In addition to literally having front row seats, the sound quality was also unreal, which really made for a great experience.

Huge thank you to B.R. Cohn for setting us up for an amazing festival experience, we hope to go back next year! Interested in visiting the tasting room? B.R. Cohn is offering 2-for-1 tastings for all who sign up here.

Cheers,

Kelly
