The Diaper Organizing Hack you Need to Know!
This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks/Huggies®
Nesting is such a special time during pregnancy! It allows you to visualize life with your soon to be little one, while also organizing all of their essentials. Not only that but it really puts into perspective just how many things come along with caring for a baby. From onesies and socks to Huggies® and wipes, it's all relative and much needed. When I first organized my nursery closet (seen here) I anticipated being totally fine with my current arrangement.
Well, in all honesty, that set-up lasted about 3 months before we knew we needed to incorporate a mobile solution for changing essentials. To see how to organize all of your baby essentials with a diaper cart or trolley, keep reading!
Why is a Mobile Changing Solution Important?
Any mom will happily tell you that, “mom brain” is real. Between giving birth, balancing life at home, and caring for a newborn it’s likely that some things will be forgotten. Having a place (such as a cart) to store commonly needed essentials is not only convenient, but also extremely practical. I wish I would have utilized this when Evie was still sleeping in our room. We could have easily wheeled the cart into our bedroom and made nighttime changes a breeze.
How to Organize Baby Essentials with a Diaper Cart?
Diapers: Well, this is a no-brainer! Being first time parents we’ve used a ton of different brands, finding out real fast that all diapers are NOT made equally. Huggies® recently released a premium plant-based* diaper, Huggies® Special Delivery™. I’ll be honest, prior to actually feeling the diaper, I wasn’t sure how a hypoallergenic and plant-based* diaper could actually be soft. Well, I’m here to tell you that these are by-far the softest diapers we’ve ever tried! We’re talking silky soft!
Not only do we find them to be more absorbent, but they also fit snug and comfortably which means less messy clean-ups.
Wipes: Another key essential to changing time. We like to keep ours in a press-to-open container for easy access and to keep them from drying out.
Handy Tools: We like to keep tools we use commonly like, baby nail clippers, a brush, and extra binkies on hand. Keeping these things grouped together prevents having to dig through a bin to find them.
Lotions: Evie’s skin is pretty sensitive, which is another reason why we love Huggies® Special Delivery™ brand diapers. In addition to having diapers that are good for sensitive skin, we keep several lotions, petroleum jelly, in addition to diaper rash creams.
One of the best things about having a diaper cart set-up is that the cart can be used well after your little one is out of diapers. I opted to go with a white cart (which we borrowed from my old office space). Keeping the color neutral makes it much easier to utilize in another room in the house.
Wishing you all a great weekend!
