The Joy of a Weekend Away

I’ve always been someone who associates the holiday season with the day-cations and celebrations which surround them. My family is on the smaller side which makes impromptu day trips a common occurrence. With Napa and Lake Tahoe just a few hours drive from San Francisco it’s always hard not to want to tag along. A few weekends ago Kev and I jumped at the chance to spend a little “pre-holiday” time with my parents and a few close friends. The chilly November air was the perfect excuse to break out this faux fur coat from J.McLaughlin. The fabrics luxe feel was the perfect compliment to a white button and black denim.

Dressing up for these special getaways has always been something I look forward to. Even as a kid I would find myself laying out a new winter coat or holiday dress for the adventure ahead. As I get older I find myself looking forward to these getaways and the memories that ensue.
