Where to Shop for Affordable Baby Clothes

One question I get asked about quite frequently is, “where do you shop for Evie’s clothes?” While we’re lucky enough to have friends that have generously given us hand-me-downs, I do have several go-to locations to shop for baby clothes! I’ll be honest; I do not spend a TON of money on her clothing. I prefer to opt for quality pieces at great prices and trust me, and there are plenty of options to do so.

Just like myself, I’d much prefer my daughter to be comfortable and not worry about anything she wears getting damaged, stained, or even tossed (accidents happen.) For this reason, most of the places I shop are within the same price range, and frequently offer sale incentives or savings. The exception to this rule is definitely pajamas! We’re a pro-zipper household, so this typically means shelling out a few extra dollars for a well-made zippered onesie!

TARGET

I guess you could say, “like mother, like daughter,” but we both always find plenty of great clothing options at Target! With most baby clothing priced under $15, their Cat & Jack line is a total bargain! Not to mention, they always have deals (grouped with all clothing lines) for additional savings. There is a mix of styles, but with a little research online, you can find a ton of cute styles. In terms of sizing, I would say they tend to run a little bit big. Some of the pieces that I purchased in fall still fit Evie perfectly at nearly 11-months-old. Now, this could be an exception, but in terms of the pieces we do have, this seems to be a consistent theme.

NORDSTROM RACK

Nordies has long been a favorite of mine and the same can be said for shopping at Nordstrom Rack. We have a store pretty close to our house so I pop in from time to time when Evie is transitioning out of clothing. If you don’t happen to live close to a physical store you can always shop online. They carry some of my favorite brands for little ones including Tea Collection, Jessica Simpson, Kickee Pants, and more!

H&M Kids

H&M kids have the CUTEST trendy pieces and plenty of great everyday basics. I had the hardest time search for long-sleeved onesies. H&M sells packs of solid color onesies in colors that aren’t the typical red, blue, or yellow. The price point is very affordable but is essentially fast-fashion for kiddos. The quality of their pieces is fantastic, and you get your money’s worth and then some!

OLD NAVY

Old Navy is another excellent spot to pick up pajamas and pieces to mix and match. They are continually coming out with seasonal arrivals, and I usually make a point to check out their holiday-themed pajamas (which are darling!). In terms of sizing, I’d say that they run on the larger side. Unlike H&M, who has in-between sizes like 3-4 or 6-9 months, most of Old Navy’s sizes fall under 6-12, which is a big gap! Aside from this minor downside, we’ve been able to hang on to our 6-12 month pieces for nearly 6+ months now.

TJ MAXX

I feel like so many people still don’t know about TJ MAXX online shopping! It’s the best of TJ MAXX with the ease of shopping at home (aka. no crowds or hunting required.) I will say that the only downside to shopping online at TJ MAXX, is that you aren’t able to search brand names. So if you’re just looking for new finds or potentially particular styles, they should be easy enough find.
