Winter Beauty in Palm Springs

A few weeks ago Kev and I, along with our families headed down to Palm Springs to finalize a few final wedding details. It couldn't have come at a better time considering San Francisco was in the midst of a torrential downpour! Although we were only in town for the weekend it was enough to get a taste of what's to come, and also get a touch of vitamin C.

Typically, when heading on vacation or to a weekend away I prefer to keep my makeup routine simple, breathable and not too heavy. This often entails a rich moisturizer, a quality foundation, mascara, and of course an eyebrow palette. It's a rather basic assortment, but the quality of the products is what makes the difference. When I know I'll be flying I prefer to keep a cosmetic bag with me so I make sure to pack light and only bring the items that I'll get the most use out of.

As of late I've really been enjoying Estee Lauder's Double Wear nude foundation. It's creamy, light and provides the perfect coverage for day-night wear. One thing I've always loved about Estee Lauder is that their shade ranges always seem to pair with my skin tone perfectly! If you haven't ever experienced their foundation or powers I'd reccomend stopping by a beauty counter and having your skintone matched.
