Cozy Winter Essentials for Kids
This post was written in partnership with Walmart, all opinions are my own!
This winter has been extremely cold, even by California standards! As a result, I’ve been doubling on cozy winter essentials for our toddlers at school and home. While I know my California complaints can only be heard for so long, I thought I’d share some of our most recent cozy winter essentials for our west-coast readers! The great thing about many of these Walmart finds is that they are effortless to layer! You can easily transition them into other outfits or even wear them as separates into spring.
Wardrobe Essentials to Keep your Kid(s) Warm this Winter.
We’ve found much of winter wardrobe at Walmart, thanks to their stylish prints and affordable prices, not to mention same-day delivery. With how fast kids grow, it doesn’t quite make sense to invest a TON of money into everyday basics that our daughter will outgrow by next season. Some of our go-to Walmart brands are Wonder Nation and Modern Moments (by Gerber.) Most of these pieces are a base of our daily winter outfits and can be layered with a heavier jacket when heading outdoors. Just like adult wardrobes knowing how to layer your child’s clothing is key!
Kids tend to be pickier about wearing multiple layers, so keeping under layers soft and cozy keeps kids happy and warm.

For everyday attire (at home or weekends), we love having cotton leggings or 2-piece sweater sets on hand. They make getting dressed easy and can be mixed and matched with other items you have on hand. Our most recent purchase was this darling floral sweater set, which will transition perfectly into early spring!
Winter Accessories like fleece beanies and gloves are perfect for outdoor play or winter walks.
