A Commitment to the Classics
If there's one piece on your fall/winter shopping list, it should be a tan trench. Aside from screen-shooting my favorites on Instagram ( side note: do other people do this?) and wish listing way too many options, I narrowed down my selects to have 2 things. One, a deep tan color in a cotton fabric and two, a long waist silhouette. These two specifics make for the a modern take on the wardrobe classic.
Luckily, both of my requirements were met in this style by Cabi. The fact that this is literally wearable with most everything I own was reason enough to jump for joy, but, when I found out that Cabi also sold basics this made me break out into a happy dance. Once my smiling swinging hips and ridiculous arm swaying had proceeded, it was time to do this outfit justice and take it to the streets. And take it to the streets I did, on probably the windiest day of the year. It's a good thing the boy knows how to capture my good side because I was dealing with a rats nest of hair by the end of shooting.
Aside from dealing with a mop of hair I was kept quite cosy in my trench and turtleneck. Speaking of turtlenecks, this style comes with thumb holes and slightly longer sleeves to keep both you and your cold hands warm. I love thoughtful designs like this, especially when they actually provide some kind of additional comfort!
