Desk to Drinks with Banana Republic

If there's one thing that's changed since moving to San Francisco it's the pace of life after work. Whether I’m heading home after a long day or meeting the boy for drinks, what I wear needs to be transitional. There’s are endless amount of cafes, restaurants and bars in our neighborhood which means dinners out are frequent. On a day-to-day basis what I wear to work is what I consider to be, “casual-nice”. One of my main rules for 9-5 dressing is that comfort is key, so aside from being fashionable I should be able to sit comfortably for a majority of the day.

That’s where Banana Republic comes in. I’ve been wearing the brand since interning in College, and continued to wear it in both my professional and social life, which makes it my go-to dinner to drinks attire. A few of my staples are a pair of structured pants and light-weight sweaters. I like my pants to be mid-rise so BR’s Sloan style is extremely comfortable, not to mention the variety of prints and colors is amazing! The straight-legged fit pairs perfectly with pumps and flats.

I always keep a light-weight sweater with me for chilly mornings and love that I can easily tie it around my waist after work is over. It also looks cute worn over the shoulders or layered with a waist belt and dress. If you’ve never worn of felt BR’s Merino wool, that you're seriously missing out. Not only is the fabric incredible soft but, it’s a great year-round piece for your wardrobe. When it comes time to meet up with friends I like throw on a leather jacket, and change my tote bag for a clutch.

What is your favorite desk to drink look?
