Signs of Summer
Bonjour! As I write this I am escaping rainy Paris and heading to Nice with Kev. We had a really great stay but, after three consecutive days of pouring rain were ready for some much needed sunshine! In this post I mentioned that we were packing light, and boy am I glad we did. It's so overwhelming to try and keep track of things, and we only have two bags each. Part of packing light while nice on the arms and travel makes getting dressed a creative challenge. I totally didn't anticipate the crappy weather and didn't pack any rain gear, so many of my outfits thus far had to be adapted for this. Basically I've been laying a whole lot and hoping that the wind doesn't make for any Marilyn moments.
I'm sure some of you have seen a few of my ootds on Instagram (and yes, I've been wearing the white dress a lot!) This look was from one of the first days that we were in Paris, which fortunately wasn't filled with nonstop rain. Kev and I headed out to explore the area surrounding the 9th arrondissement surrounding the Opera house, which just so happened to have incredible shopping - a win, win right? We snuck into a cafe to escape the rain and split the most delicious pizza and bottle of wine.
