Earn Your Stripes

Growing up I would always look forward to to the start of another school year. My mom and I would plan a trip and spend the day picking out a few new outfits for the school year ahead. Being that I’m not packing a backpack and heading off to school, I now look forward to the start of a new season. Fall is my absolute favorite time of year and a gorgeous time to be in San Francisco.

This year I’m excited to prep my wardrobe with different silhouettes, prints, and textures. When Banana Republic sent over this pair of pants I was pretty skeptical about the style. As much as I love trying new trends, I haven’t worn wide legs pants, let alone one’s with stripes in years! My skepticism was put to rest when I styled them with a knotted blouse and oversized coat. The pants hit at a higher point on the waist and are true to size, which makes tucking a blouse in the front pretty easy. For a night out I’d style the with a black crop top, similar to this, and Adidas Stan Smith or Superstar.
