Yes Way Frosé
Let me start by saying that I took way too long to get on the frosé train! Before making my own for the first time, I thought it was just frozen wine, so I wasn't sure what the hype was all about. Fast forward to this past weekend; I did a little bit of Pinterest scrolling to find some recipe inspiration. After browsing a few sites, I quickly learned that Frosé is much more than just frozen rose. There are a ton of different ways to incorporate fruit or flavor into the cocktail but, for my first batch, I focused on the basics, rose, lemon juice, simple syrup, and a berry garnish.
HOW-TO FROSE
- 1 Bottle Rose
- 2 1/2 oz Lemon Juice
- 1/2 C Sugar
- 1/2 C Water
- Raspberries
Start by pouring a bottle of rose into a ice cube tray, keep in mind that this will need to be done in advance! While the rose is chilling, start the simple syrup. In a sauce pan combine equal parts sugar and water. For this recipe I opted to do a 1/2 C of both. Heat until sugar is dissolved. Once rose has chilled, combine with simple syrup, 2 1/2 oz. lemon juice, rose cubes, and blend. For a slushier beverage you can also include additional ice. Serve with fresh berry garnish and enjoy!
