REDBOOK Beauty Box Review
As summer's lingering temps come to chilly close, it’s a reminder to begin transitioning my daily routines. As is true with swapping out a wardrobe, beauty regimes also deserve to get a little extra attention. This month I’ve partnered with REDBOOK Magazine , to test out a few products for the coming season!
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure: I've been a long-time user of the complete salon line, and really love the high-shine that the polish delivers. These are definitely my go-to if I'm running out the door or don't have time for topcoat. The line includes a wide array of different shades, all with a great wide-brush applicator, which makes applications that much smoother!
If gel manicures are your thing then you'll love the Sally Hansen Gel Shine topcoat. It brings all the shine of a salon manicure at a fraction of the cost! I tested this for about a week and was really impressed with the staying power of the product. The product is known for its seven benefits, all of which better nail growth, shine, and chip-resistant color.
Secret Clinical Strength: I've heard great things about the Secret Clinical Strength Deodorant, so I was excited to give it a true test. I used it throughout the week and while it did last for a majority of the day, I did notice a slight residue after eight hours or so. This isn't to say that I wouldn't use the product just that I would have to reapply after certain amount of time. I would opt for this as a exercise deodorant, and may consider keeping it in my gym bag.
Vaseline Intensive Care Healing Serum: Fall and winter can be brutal on my skin, so switching up my body lotion is a no-brainer! I use a variety of Vaseline products and have for years. I like the subtle clean smell of their products and really have no complaints when it comes to the overall effectiveness of the product. I tend to stay away from body butters and like that this healing serum doesn't take a lot of effort to rub it in.
Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting BHA Liquid: This BHA liquid cleans skin and promotes radiant even tone complexion. After several applications (2-3) I did notice a slight reduction in the overall redness of my skin, especially on my forehead and cheeks. I would recommend applying a small amount on a cotton pad and dabbing your face, do not rinse or towel dry. Follow up with your preferred moisturizer and continue using as a part of your morning skincare routine. I will absolutely continue to use this product through the winter season!
