The Improved RODAN + FIELDS REDEFINE Regimen and Multi-Function Eye Cream Review
When is the last time you did a complete overhaul of your skincare routine? It had been years since I switched up my skincare and anti-aging routine! So, naturally, when I was offered to try the new and improved Rodan + Fields REDEFINE Regimen and REDEFINE Multi-Function Eye Cream, I jumped at the chance. Being interested in both skincare and beauty, I am certainly no stranger to Rodan + Fields products. I used the REDEFINE Regimen’s previous version several years ago and other skin products that I sprinkled throughout my day and nighttime routine. In today’s post, I’m going to share my review of the improved Rodan + Fields REDEFINE Regimen along with my thoughts on the Multi-Function Eye Cream.
I’ll also share my line-up of choice products from the REDEFINE line and how I apply them both day and night. I hope to share this experience and help you make changes to your skincare routine to show visible results.
My Experience with REDEFINE Regimen
As I previously mentioned, the Rodan + Fields REDEFINE Regimen wasn’t new to me. I had tried several of the products alongside different brands a few years back. I was mixing an R+F Cleanser here with an off-brand lotion and so forth. Here my fellow skincare lovers are where my missteps were made! I was using a mix of brands and products together. I wasn’t allowing the products from the REDEFINE Regimen to work together. Combining different skincare products that aren’t designed to work together can decrease the results you are seeing. According to R+F co-founder and dermatologist, Dr. Kathy Fields,
“When consumers combine a variety of different products that are not purposefully formulated or tested to work together, ingredients may become unstable when they interact with each other, leading to ineffectiveness in delivering benefits to skin.”
So rather than repeating my prior mistake, I challenged myself to set aside my current collected skincare routine and replace it with the Rodan + Fields REDEFINE Regimen personalized to my needs! My customized line up of products goes a little something like this:

REDEFINE Daily Foaming Cleanser Review- In general, my skin does not do well with clay cleaners. For this reason, I selected the REDEFINE Daily Foaming Cleanser. After washing with the product, it leaves my skin feeling refreshed and supple, without feeling stripped or tight. REDEFINE Daily Foaming Cleanser creates a rich lather (a little goes a long way) that removes impurities along with make-up and stubborn oils. The inclusion of Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) aids in gently exfoliates your skin’s surface for an even-looking tone and texture.
REDEFINE Pore Refining Toner Review - One of my biggest skincare woes is my pores’ appearance around my nose. The REDEFINE Pore Refining Toner utilizes Deep Sea Water (how cool, right?) rich in natural minerals to help minimize pores’ appearance. Applied after washing with the Daily Foaming Cleanser, the Pore Refining Toner helps prep the skin for a better, more even absorption on the skin’s surface. This makes it an essential step in this regime and incredibly beneficial when followed up with a moisturizer.
(AM) REDEFINE Triple Defense Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Review - My skin tends to be a mix of both oily and dry, leaving me with combination skin. For this reason, I typically use a light daily moisturizer in the morning, especially if I know I will be following up with a foundation and make-up. The REDEFINE Triple Defense Lotion Broad Spectrum has an incredibly lightweight texture on the skin yet has the SPF 30 skin protection that my skin desperately needs. A key ingredient in this lotion is the Peptides, which help visibly firm the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and deep wrinkles.
REDEFINE Multi-Function Eye Cream Review - Another concern of mine with my prior skincare routine was that I didn’t see any improvement with the fine lines around the corners of my eyes. This is a sensitive skin area for me, and one that I feel like many of us women notice early on as a sign of aging. Additionally, since having a baby, the circles under my eyes have become more pronounced (thank you, lack of sleep), making them much more visible than in years past. The REDEFINE Multi-Function Eye Cream has been addressing these concerns in more ways than one, targeting these culprits that contribute to the appearance of aging. Having an eye care routine within the Regimen is something I had never thought of including, but is crucial for addressing my concerns. The new formula is designed for both AM and PM use and reduces the appearance of wrinkles and visibly firms and lifts the skin to restore the eye’s natural contour.
REDEFINE Overnight Restorative Cream Review - I’ll be upfront and say that by the time it’s time for my PM skincare routine, I’m often very tempted to skip steps and head right to bed. However, so much of this Regimen is about consistency and using the products as they were designed. The REDEFINE Overnight Restorative Cream gives deep moisture that skin soaks up at the end of the day. It’s intended for normal-dry skin, and I find that it perfectly meets the needs of my skin, especially as a PM product. I’ve found this cream to be my secret skin aid this winter when I otherwise would wake up with my skin feeling dry or tight. I have also found that my neck’s skin has benefited from this nightly application, helping firm its overall appearance
The Overnight Restorative Cream is formulated with Bakuchiol (a plant-derived substitute to Retinol, making it better for more sensitive skin) and Glycolic Acid to addresses the appearance of fine lines and deep wrinkles.
Do I need to apply RODAN + FIELDS REDEFINE Regimen in a particular order?
The short answer is YES! (Honestly, it’s pretty easy to get the hang of the REDEFINE Regimen product application!) According to dermatologist and R+F co-founder, Dr. Kathy Fields says,
“In order for the ingredients and formulas to be effective on skin, they must be applied in the right order, so that each step builds on the efficacy of the previous one.”
This statement makes total sense and is why I’ve felt I’ve seen visible results in this process just after 4-weeks of use.
REDEFINE Regimen
STEP 1 - REDEFINE Daily Foaming Cleanser - Wet face with warm water, apply a pea-sized amount of the REDEFINE Daily Foaming Cleanser to palms and gently massage into the skin. Rinse the cleanser thoroughly with warm water. Pat skin dry with a clean, dry towel. Apply this both morning and night.
STEP 2 - REDEFINE Pore Refining Toner - With cotton round, apply a small amount of REDEFINE Pore Refining Toner. Apply to skin and neck, let absorb. Apply this both morning and night.
STEP 3 - REDEFINE Triple Defense Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30 - Apply a penny-sized amount to the face and neck with fingertips, ensure the lotion is well absorbed.
STEP 4 - REDEFINE Multi-Function Eye Cream - With your ring finger, softly apply a small amount (a little goes a long way) to the surrounding eye area, avoiding the eyelid! Apply this both morning and night.
Is the RODAN + FIELDS REDEFINE Regimen Worth the Money?
I consider skincare to be an investment in self-care, so for me, the value of the Rodan + Fields REDEFINE Regimen far exceeds the cost. The REDEFINE Regimen targets visible signs of aging, which is a crucial skincare concern of mine. Based on my recent experience with the products and the visible results I’ve seen just after 4-weeks of consistent use, I will repurchase my personalized line after 60-days.
