Bright-Eyed with Maybelline

When the time comes to getting day-to-night ready I always take a bright-eyed approach. One thing this look never fails to accomplish is a bold yet transitional makeup look that is appropriate from sun-up to sun-down. My eyes tend to be on the smaller side which can make wearing too* much shadow or liner look heavy and not necessarily flattering. This is why I love to keep my make-up natural, and enhance my eyes rather than weigh them down.

The Maybelline 24karat Nudes Palette is a gorgeous mix of creamy neutral shadows perfect for most eye colors. An array of 12 colors ranging from light to dark is carefully laid out so you can pair them as 2, 3 or 4! If you're like me and have a limited amount of time to get ready in the morning having a palette that strategically pairs shadows is a huge time saver.

To continue to enhance the eyes a liquid liner is always necessary. I typically also purchase black liquid liners since darker shades tend to make my eyes pop more. The Master Precise Liquid Ink Pen Eye Liner is one of the best liners I've tried in a long time. The product glides on like a thin pen but, has the ability to provide a thicker or thinner line by turning the pen to side. I like a thin line with a minimal cat-eye flick at the corner of the eye and this formula and applicator do the look in no time. I actually perfect the larger packaging over a thin "pen-like" product as its much easier to hold in the hand.

Most beauty enthusiast will tell you that the hunt for the ultimate black mascara is never ending! While some bloggers prefer the classics, I'm all for testing new formulas, especially if they promise to deliver fuller, longer lashes.  Maybelline New York The Colossal Big Shot Express mascara is a richly formulated product that promotes longer lashes without the clump or spider-effect. I thoroughly enjoyed the way the product clung to my eyelashes and was pretty impressed with the overall look. Since the formula is so think a oil-based remover is needed when it comes time to take off your makeup. But, the positive side to the holding power is that you won't need to reply or worry about fall-out!
