Meet the Stylist, My David’s Bridal Experience

January marks exactly five months from the time when I’ll walk down the aisle. You can bet that the pressure is beginning to set-in, which means I need to be getting down to business on my to-do list. I was in desperate need of some guidance when it came to selecting dresses for my bridal party. Luckily, I had the opportunity to meet with a stylist from David’s Bridal for an appointment where she shared plenty of tips!

I’ll be honest, I had been to a few bridal locations before and wasn’t over the moon with my experience, so upon walking in I wasn’t sure what to expect. To my surprise, my consultant met me on time, smile-bearing and couldn’t wait to get the low-down on my wedding details. After doing a bit of catch-up and sharing a bit more about my personal style, colors, and wedding location we made a game plan to make our way through the selection of dresses.

The one thing that stood out instantly was how clean and organized the store was. The bridesmaid dresses were arranged by style and length, which made it easy to pick and choose what section to look at. Each color chart is framed and posted at the end of the aisles, making pinpointing a color alternative super easy. My stylist was able to pull a few style options, and also suggested that they could be worn in a cohesive fashion should my bridal party have different body types. I love this idea and plan on implementing this when I narrow down a few styles.

After making our way through bridesmaid dresses we took a look at their array of accessories, including veils and belts. I instantly feel in love with a vintage inspired, lace-adorned veil and knew it would compliment my dress beautifully. The store had a ton of options, of not only veils but also jewelry, hair clips, Swarovski-adorned belts, and also plenty of shoes.

During my appointment, my stylist kept track of all the style numbers, shades, and options I liked to store in my bridal profile. This service was a huge help, especially when I had picked out so many options. With more than 300 locations in the US, tracking down a location couldn’t be easier. With one of my maids located out of state, she’s able to call into a local David’s Bridal and easily try on and order her size. At the end of my appointment, my stylist graciously checked the inventory to ensure their availability. I was so impressed with my overall appointment and left the store feeling like I could check off my to-do list!
