Our Wedding Day, Part 1

I've been patiently waiting to share our wedding day since we received our pictures in July, which was a feat in itself! If you caught my social media yesterday you'll know our story was featured in Real Weddings on 100 Layer Cake! Prior to my current position, I worked for a wedding photographer, so having the opportunity to be featured on a wedding website was HUGE and such a compliment to our team of talented photographers, coordinator, florist, baker, and beyond!

I'm sure if you know me, you know that the wedding planning process and months leading up to May weren't always easy. I'm a huge stress case and when I get a vision or idea in my head I don't settle for anything less than perfection (it's a trait I'm learning to work on.) That being said I couldn't be more grateful for the family and friends who supported us along the way and really made our wedding be all that it could be and more! The vision of our day exceeded our expectations, and on the actual wedding day I couldn't have been more cool, calm, and collected -  I think Kevin was more nervous than I was!

When it came to choosing a dress I knew I wanted something that was soft and feminine with bohemian style details. I ended up loving the 'Donna' dress by Galia Lahav, it fit perfectly and really set the tone for my jewelry and shoes. In all honesty, I probably wore my heels all of 2 hours, they KILLED my feet and I ended up wearing a block white heel for the remainder of the night (at least I got a few pictures in them right?) Kev's outfit choice was pretty easy, he went for a classic navy blue slim suit by Michael Kors, that he paired with a chambray style tie by Penguin Originals. My girls wore dresses by Show Me Your Mumu in the print style, "blue me away".
